Tuesday, March 8:
Morro Bay City Council meeting begins at 6:00 pm at the Vets Hall, 209 Surf St. Public hearing related to Council review of draft medical marijuana ordinance. A good turnout, which is professional in approach (both inside and outside the Hall) will be better received by the Council. This Council has also clearly expressed its priority to serve the residents of Morro Bay; thus it would be extremely helpful to have Morro Bay supporters there who are willing to address the Council. So if you know someone in Morro Bay city limits who can attend and maybe speak, PLEASE spread the word! The suggestion has been made by the subcommittee working on this ordinance that public comments not focus on specific, detailed parts of the draft ordinance, but more in overall support for its passage. (Reminder: Morro Bay voters rejected a proposed ban on dispensaries by a margin of 55% to 45%.)
