Hello
supporters,
As
you may have heard, Compassionate Cannabis Information Center (CCIC), which is
a collective based in Tulare County, has petitioned for a minor use
permit to open a storefront facility in Oceano.
The
applicant, Tammy Morgan, has invited us to host our next ASA meeting, which is
on Tuesday, October 18, at the location of her proposed facility. The location
is at 1409 S. Fourth St. (House in the back) in Oceano. Below is a link to the
CCIC website with a map:

We
will have a barbeque lasting from 5:00-7:00 with the official meeting to begin
at 7:00. We do not expect the meeting to go longer than 9:00.
We will be asking for a small donation in exchange for some really good food. However, if you become a member of our ASA chapter, the donation will be included in your membership fee!

I
will be inviting every collective in the county to send a representative to
this meeting.
We
will be discussing any concerns about the facility as well as the potential
plans for support at the County Supervisors' meeting, likely to be scheduled in
December.
Additionally
we will discuss the formation of a body to write a "Lowest
Priority" ordinance for SLO county to appear on next year's November
election ballot, similar to the City of Santa Cruz's Measure K and Oakland's
Measure Z. The drafting and construction of this county-wide initiative should
be a very high priority for any collective who intends to operate here, as well
as for all patients in our area.
Lastly
we will address the news and concerns regarding the recent crackdown by federal
authorities on the bank accounts, landlords, and properties of collective
operators around the state.
Please
join us for this very important meeting.
